Memorial Day is a long way off. But I just exchanged email several times with A.J. DeRosa in Dixon. AJ has held a wooden boat show on Memorial Day more or less forever--at the Dixon Bridge on the Snake, near Jackson Hole. But now, starting this year, any garage built boat is welcome. All fiberglass and fiberglass over foam core or honeycomb core boats are welcome. If they aren't factory boats and if you made it yourself it belongs at the show. AJ will still call it "The Snake River Wooden Boat Show" but
all made boats will now be part of the deal.
I'll bring my little One Man in May. I hope Chris Towles (ctowles) and all others come too. Partially finished boats have always been part of the show. I'll be there............at least if no last minute river trip pops up. I was going last year. But then Jeremy invited me on the Yampa and that was a chance of a lifetime. Sure was a fun trip. Thank you Jeremy! I really want to see Chris' boat when it's done. Or even sooner.
